It is free to create and share your online RunFundMe fundraising campaign. The only thing we do is deduct a 5% fee from each donation that you receive. Our fee is deducted automatically and we will never charge your donors a thing. Please understand that other competitors' services that claim to be 100% Free will actually charge your donors instead, we don't believe that is the right thing to do. Why charge your donors when they are already helping you with a donation?! Additionally, a small processing fee of about 2.9% will also be deducted from each donation for the online payment processor (RunFundMe does not get any part of this fee). Absolutely not. Donors are charged only the amount they choose to donate and not a penny more. Other competitors sometimes charge donors without your knowledge; RunFundMe would never do that.
Absolutely not. With RunFundMe there are no time limits or deadlines. As long as your campaign is current and you are receiving donations, you will keep your account open and in good standing. You can also choose to deactivate or remove your campaign at anytime.
With RunFundMe this is not an issue. We do not require that you reach any goal in order to receive money therefore, you get to keep each and every donation you receive without any pressure.
With RunFundMe, you receive the money donated immediately because it is automatically deposited into your account. You will also receive an email notification each time a donation is made to your RunFundMe campaign.
Absolutely. RunFundMe is a site that built on the principles of honesty and goodwill therefore we require 100% transparency.
Most crowdfunding campaigns are supported by the people closest to us. Typically this includes friends and family, coworkers, acquaintances, classmates, etc. With that being said, you may be able to also attract the support of others not in these groups if you are able to direct attention and traffic to your specific cause.
RunFundMe does not require that your donors be necessarily friends and/or family. With that being said, many personal donations do come from specifically friends and family so one should not choose to remove them as part of their campaign.
RunFundMe does not require that you use any specific social media if you don't want to. Keep in mind that many donations are received directly and as a result of people connecting to their social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Pinterest, etc. If you so choose to use social media, we make it easy for you to connect with any of them with just one click. We also offer embedding codes and links that you can place wherever you so choose. RunFundMe strongly recommends that campaign creators use any and all available social media but it is not required.
How do I send the funds to someone else?
This is easy. Because RunFundMe gives you the money donated instantaneously real time and automatically deposits it into your account, you can easily transfer the funds directly to any beneficiary so they can access the funds you have raised.
You can raise money for someone else (in your name) and thereafter send them the money at anytime and even programmatically send bank transfers to anyone with a US bank account.
The minimum donation amount is $5.
Simply send an email to info@RunFundMe.com asking to deactivate your account and we will take care of it for you.
To issue a refund, simply send an email to info@RunFundMe.com detailing who you want to issue a refund to and the amount.

If you’re donating from a desktop or laptop computer, please:
- Visit the campaign you’d like to support and click the ‘Donate Now’ button
- Choose the ‘Hide name and comment from everyone but the organizer’ option underneath the donation amount and name fields
- Verify your donation information to save your donation as anonymous
If you’re donating from a mobile phone, please:
- Visit the campaign you’d like to support and click the ‘Donate Now’ button
- Once you’ve confirmed your donation, you’ll have the option to share the campaign on Facebook
- On the next page, choose the ‘Private: Hide my name and comment from the public’ option listed below the Comment box
- Choose ‘Continue’ to save your donation as anonymous
If you already made your donation, simply click the donate button and enter your payment information.
Please note that the Campaign Organizer will always be able to see your name and comment (if you left one).
Yes! If you have an issue or question that is not answered throughout our website, please send an email to info@RunFundMe.com explaining your issue and the best telephone number to reach you. Typically, most correspondence takes place over email so that we can record accurate records regarding account details, requests, and other important information but we understand that sometimes you just need to speak with someone over the phone.

Before I Withdraw:
Where does the money go? What is Stripe?
When you create your RunFundMe account, a separate but linked Stripe account is created under the same email. This account holds your donations until you're ready to withdraw them at your leisure.
Before you can withdraw your donations, you’ll need to confirm your Stripe account via the confirmation email sent to you from RunFundMe/Stripe. This email will prompt you to set a password for your Stripe account.

Setting Up Withdrawals
When can I start withdrawals? How much can I withdraw?
You can set up withdrawals and add your bank account even before you get your first donation (recommended). Making a withdrawal does not affect your campaign at all. Your campaign’s 'Total Amount Raised' meter will stay the same and you can continue accepting donations for as long as you’d like!
Your donations with Stripe are instantaneous. As soon as you receive a donation, it is automatically sent to you. Unlike our main competitor(s), you don't have to wait any longer until your campaign reaches it's full donation goal. You need your money now, and you receive it as soon as it is donated.
What if the donations aren't for me?
By default, all RunFundMe accounts are set up to individually withdraw the donations yourself. If you'd like to send the donations to another person or an organization, simply transfer the money to them.
Once a donation is made to your RunFundMe campaign, it is automatically sent to your Stripe account for your immediate access.
After your bank account is added (which we recommend you do as soon as you start your account), daily automatic withdrawals will stay turned on in your account and all donations will be sent directly to your bank account every time, no more waiting until the campaign has reached it's goal. You need your money now and that's why we make sure you have it in real time the moment a donation is made.
Don’t have a bank account? Customers in the US will also have the option to withdraw via a check. Checks take 7-10 business days to arrive. They're sent through USPS, and therefore do not have tracking numbers.
RunFundMe uses Stripe as our payment processor in order to accept payments/donations to your campaign. Confirming your Stripe account is required.
You’ll be asked to provide your banking information when you establish and activate your Stripe account.
At this time, we have chosen to work with Stripe as our exclusive payment processor because of their quality processing service, their stellar track record, their vast experience working with donation based business models and because they charge a very low and competitive price. RunFundMe does not receive any portion of the Stripe processing fee.

In an effort to ensure a delightful, frustration-free fundraising experience, RunFundMe does not use PayPal to process and deliver donations. We choose to use Stripe for donations so that our campaigner's can access their funds as soon as they have been donated.
With RunFundMe there are no goal requirements that you have to meet in order to receive money/donations. As a matter of fact, you get to keep each and every donation that you receive as soon as it is donated.
RunFundMe will deduct a 5% fee from each donation you receive. Stripe deducts 2.9% + $0.30 per donation. There are no other fees and your donors are never charged any amount other than what they chose to donate.
Supported countries include the U.S. only at this time.
